The system with Heat Pump is characterised by the use of electricity, as a source of energy.
Being a Heat Pump, the consumed electric energy is very low. If we compare it to the air conditioning or the refrigeration, the consumed energy is total, because we use both the produced cold, to condense the water coming out from the wood and the heat, to warm the wood itself.
The first heat pumps generation has been manufactured in 1975. Now the sixth generation is into production, applying 30 years of technological improvement and adaptations to the safety laws of the Environment.
