{"id":4284,"date":"2021-05-27T11:56:12","date_gmt":"2021-05-27T09:56:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.incomac.com\/?p=4284"},"modified":"2021-08-25T09:37:41","modified_gmt":"2021-08-25T07:37:41","slug":"incomac-goes-green","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.incomac.com\/en\/insights\/news-en\/incomac-goes-green\/","title":{"rendered":"Incomac goes Green"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>Sustainability<\/em><\/strong> is becoming a more and more essential requirement for companies and here in <strong>Incomac<\/strong> we want to do our part too.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We have been wondering how we could <em>actually contribute<\/em> and we decided to develop a <strong><em>zero-emissions<\/em><\/strong> <strong>drying kiln<\/strong>, our <strong><em>IDV<\/em><\/strong>.<br \/>\nThis is clearly a big challenge, since heat is usually necessary for the drying process and boilers and burners must be used for this purpose.<\/p>\n<p>We carried out <strong>extensive research<\/strong> on this topic and also started a collaboration with the <strong>Department of <strong>In<\/strong>dustrial Engineering<\/strong> of the University of Padua, thanks to which we are further refining a system that generates heat through \u201c<strong><em>viscous dissipation<\/em><\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Heating through ventilation alone is based on a simple physical principle: <strong>kinetic energy<\/strong> of rapidly moving air transforms into <strong>heat energy<\/strong> as a result of the air turbulent movement and its friction on wood. Since there are no water and steam control valves, there is no need to install a complex and expensive hydraulic system.
